CRCDS centered its project on the competing loyalties that students face—loyalties to study, family, sources of financial support, and the church. Recognizing that these same dynamics frame the lives of faculty as well, the project’s focus included an effort to create a community-wide conversation toward a more integrated life for members of this teaching/learning/worshiping community. A steering committee of faculty, students, and staff guided the project, creating hospitality events for the community and developing institutional models that express the hoped-for integration of life, work, and vocation.
